Why FBA Pulse exists

Every tool tells you about products. Sales rank, price history, review counts. None of them tell you about the market — how many UK sellers are actually in a category, who holds the revenue, whether you're walking into an open field or a stitched-up one.

I kept buying stock without knowing that, and it cost me. So I built the answer. Every UK Amazon storefront, matched against the Companies House register, then measured against the category it sells in. Not a sample. The whole market.

What comes out is the thing I wanted when I started: a straight answer on what a niche looks like before you commit money to it. Some categories have three sellers holding nearly all of it. Some have a hundred and no clear leader. You can't tell from the outside, and now you don't have to.

What the whole market looks like

59%

of UK Amazon sellers have no website at all.

Not a small brand with a quiet site — nothing. Amazon is the whole business. Most of the market is invisible outside the marketplace.

19%

trade from someone else's address.

Registered at formation agents and mail-forwarding offices. One floor in south London carries more monthly revenue than any other single address in the country.

−29%

median revenue, 2019 sellers against 2025 sellers.

More sellers arrive every year and each cohort is smaller than the last. The share with no premises has risen from 15% to 39% over the same period.

Where the data comes from. UK company records are matched from the Companies House public register. Category and seller figures are derived from public storefront signals, so revenue is an estimate rather than reported accounts — use it to compare sellers and size a category, not as filed financials. Refreshed monthly. Take 100 rows free and check any of it yourself.
